In a world ruled by vampires, humans live in fear and chains. But there is resistance. Among them is Hibiki, a powerless outcast who dreams of liberating humanity from their undead overlords. Despite being shunned and seen as useless, Hibiki clings to his ideals— until one fateful mission ends in bloodshed. He fails to protect his admired leader, Captain Maria, and is brutally slain in the chaos. But death is not the end. In the void between life and death, Hibiki encounters the soul of Vlad, the most savage Vampire King, betrayed and sealed away by his own kin 500 years ago. Vlad offers him a choice: Wield the power of your enemy… or stay dead. Hibiki accepts. Now resurrected with Vlad’s forbidden might, he rises not as a slave to darkness— but as a protector of the innocent. To destroy the monsters using their own strength, and avenge the fallen, Hibiki begins his ruthless march— as the human who became the most terrifying vampire of them all.
