College student Souji Miyamoto finds himself transported to another world after attempting to make a test cut with a replica sword he impulsively purchased.

Upon his arrival, which coincides with a hero-summoning ceremony in a particular kingdom, Souji is mistaken for the Hero.

Through a peculiar twist of fate, the princess learns that he is merely a fraud. She uses this knowledge to threaten him with execution should anyone else discover that he is an impostor, compelling Souji to embark on a quest to defeat the Demon King.

However, each member of the Hero’s party proves to be quite eccentric, each with their own peculiar issues…!?

With his imitation-turned-cursed sword in hand, the adventure of a false hero begins now!
