"Spirit Mages" combat malevolent forces threatening humanity by harnessing the power of contracted spirits. Roak Aleas, a second-year student at Utrea Academy, which trains Spirit Mages, ranks second in skill among his peers. However, he has never once called upon a contracted spirit, causing the entire academy to scrutinize him, concluding that he 'must be hiding his true power.' Yet, Roak himself wonders, 'Why don’t I summon my contracted spirit? Because I don’t have any ()!' His abilities stem solely from relentless practice of his swordsmanship and martial arts, using the only spirit he can contract—a micro-spirit. In truth, he is always fighting fiercely just to survive! Amidst this, he is selected as a member to venture into the perilous 'Lunar Ruins'!? The Spirit Mage, whom everyone believes is concealing his actual strength, is genuinely giving his all in every battle. He isn't refusing to summon his Contracted Spirits; he simply doesn't possess any! This Spirit Mage remains exceptionally powerful!? A tale of misunderstood overpowered heroism, achieving greatness through sheer effort alone!
