The 2nd century Roman Empire that worshipped the Emperor and thousands of gods. Among them are priestesses who serve Vesta, goddess of the hearth. Following the virgin goddess Vesta, they themselves must not have relations with men, and if they break this vow, they will be buried alive underground.
