At the age of four, Astyr received her father’s death notice.

"In accordance with Article 12, Paragraph 1 of the Act on Funeral Services, the body of the deceased without family ties will be disposed of and publicly announced. Relatives are requested to claim the enshrined remains."

Her dad was always saying strange things. That he came from an empire called Talochium. And he believed that Tyr’s hometown was there, too.

“Daddy will live with Tyr for a long, long time. One day, we’ll return to our hometown, and Tyr will be able to laugh in a much bigger and cleaner house.”

He talked about returning to his homeland. About making her happy. In the end, he just left Tyr behind.

But then—

While rummaging through his belongings, a never-before-seen creature appeared

[Shall I save him?]

“A, a stone is talking…”

[If you want, I’ll bring it all back. The place you were born. Where you were meant to be. The place where that man is still alive.]

Astyr was given one last chance. Now, she could save Dad and return to their true homeland!

And so she thought that surely, everything would be smooth sailing from now on.

“Honestly, I was wondering when we’d meet again.”

After returning and settling down in another world, Astyr was finally reunited with her father from the past—but something’s off.

“For someone who’s ruined countless livelihoods, you sure are shameless, Necromancer King.”

Dad… weren’t you a holy knight?

“I’m getting bored, so let’s end this in a single round. Loser drops everything and leaves this field for good.”

A mercenary.

And not just any mercenary, but the leader of a high-ranking group, infamous for cutting down terrifying monsters and dominating the battlefield every day.

“If I kill you today, won’t I reclaim the spot for the most hired person!”

Apparently, Dad had been hiding something. Something very big and very extraordinary.
